I hate coins. Small change.. It’s the copper, the contour, the coinage - the dirt of the world, sticking to its surface. In particular the smell. The metallic smell, which covers your fingers like a rough film and seems to sink into the fingertip. Even hearing the word, the sound of the rolling coin on a counter or seeing it on a table - it makes me feel disgusted, distracted and paranoid.
With this film, I don’t only want to make this specific perception tangible, but also dive into the world of a coin. How does the world of a coin look like? How does this phobia come to its worst?
A small piece of copper that has probably seen a lot - experiences from all over the world, sticking on the coin.
